Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VocatAI—including our Android application, public website, and associated APIs and servers that provide AI-assisted translation (the Services). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You may use a guest session with limited monthly quotas, or create a fuller account via email one-time codes or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for activity under your credentials and for keeping tokens and devices secure.

2. License to use the Services

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our software or branding except as allowed by applicable law or with our prior written consent.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, harassing, or hateful purposes.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; bypass rate limits, quotas, or authentication; or overload our infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the Services except where mandatory local law allows it despite this limitation.
  • Submit content you do not have the right to use, or content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
  • Use automated means to extract data at scale (“scraping”) without permission, or resell access to the Services without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these rules or pose a security or abuse risk.

4. AI output and accuracy

Translations are generated using machine learning models. Output may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for high-risk uses (for example medical, legal, or safety critical decisions). You are solely responsible for how you use translations—including verifying accuracy before relying on them. The Services are provided for assistance and communication support, not as professional advice.

5. Plans, quotas, and changes

Usage may be subject to monthly limits (measured in UTC) based on your plan (for example guest, free, or paid tiers). Limits can apply to text translation, image translation, and other features we enable. We may change plans, prices, limits, or features with reasonable notice where required; continued use after changes may constitute acceptance.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, branding, and underlying software are owned by VocatAI or our licensors. You retain rights in content you submit; you grant us a license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the Services (including sending content to model providers as described in the Privacy Policy).

7. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties (for example Google for sign-in, OpenRouter or other model hosts for translation, mail providers for OTP, and app stores for distribution). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. “Google Play” and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOCATAI AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 50), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify VocatAI against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access with or without notice for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms the Services or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VocatAI operates its business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where applicable.

13. General

  • These Terms together with the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and VocatAI regarding the Services.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
